About > History
The International Studies Degree Program was created in 1993 under the auspice of the College of Liberal Arts. It enrolls about 500 students, all of whom are required to travel abroad for at least a semester. This international exposure provides our students with first hand knowledge of cultural and language immersion.
Over the coming years, the INTS program seeks to increase its course offerings in under-represented geographical regions. We also plan to identify affiliated faculty with research and teaching interests in INTS, and offer more opportunities for student-faculty interactions. Finally, we want to increase the participation of international faculty and students in the program
