When students think about majoring in International Studies, one of the first questions that comes to mind is, "What will I do with a degree in International Studies?" The answer depends on the student and on the course of study they have pursued. It depends on the languages they know and the places they have been. It depends on whether they have done an internship, studied abroad, or are interested in doing volunteer work before finding a paying job.
One thing is certain. If you plan ahead, make an effort, and are flexible, you can find work that uses your international studies education. In some cases you will need additional education or experience, such as service in the Peace Corps or teaching English abroad. Others go on to graduate school in international business, international development, international law, international relations.
