Laura has been the advisor for International Studies since July 1998, and works closely with students to help them in focusing their studies. As an ATMentor, Laura volunteers extra office hours to make herself available to students who would like advising in an area other than academics. She is also a member of the University Advisors and Counselors (UAC) and the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). For the last two years she has been a member of the Texas Academic Advising Network (TEXAAN) as well as a Namesake for the Aggie Access program.

In 2007, Laura was awarded the Texas A&M University President's Award for Academic Advising. The award is presented to five individuals who exemplify the qualities and practices of exceptional academic advising.

If you need to talk to Laura about your schedule and registration for the upcoming semester, you should call at least 2-3 weeks before you register to make an appointment. If you wait until the week you register to schedule an appointment, chances are you won't get one. So don't wait that long! At any other time during the semester, walk-ins are welcome.
